Made with simple store-bought ingredients and developed over years, this versatile sauce is perfect for grilled chicken or baby back ribs. Or mix with pulled pork, place the mixture on a bun, and top with coleslaw for one heck of a tasty sandwich.
- 4 cups

Ingredients
- 3 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cups cider vinegar
- 5 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Hickory liquid smoke
- 2 teaspoons Kitchen Bouquet
- 2 teaspoons cayenne
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- salt to taste
Preparation
- In a saucepan, bring all ingredients to slow boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- Let rest until sauce reaches room temperature. Important:
- Refrigerate at least one evening or six hours before use. (Sauce will keep up to one week in refrigerator.)
