We all love smoked baby back ribs, but sometimes you gotta have those backyard-style grilled baby backs with a slathering of just the right sauce. For those times, Bart’s got you covered. Fire up the grill and enjoy our rib recipe with something like a nice cowboy corn salad or some crisp skillet potatoes.
- 4-5
- 10 minutes
- 2 hours
Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back ribs
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 2 cups Barts Signature BBQ Sauce
Preparation
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic salt, kosher salt, and black pepper to make a rub.
- Remove membrain from the back of the ribs and coat the racks with the rub mixture, gently shaking off any excess.
- Set grill temperature to low and place the ribs bone side down on the grill. (Target temperature is approximately 200 degrees.)
- Cook 20 min, then flip and cook 20 additional minutes. Continue for one hour, then adjust grill temperature to medium and continue flipping every 15 minutes until fat is rendered and the meat begins to pull away from the bone, approximately 1 hour. (If at any time the meat begins to char, reduce heat.)
- Increase grill temperature to medium-high, lightly coat ribs with Bart’s Signature BBQ Sauce, and cook 1-2 minutes until sauce begins to carmelize and slightly char. Flip and repeat this process for 10 minutes, or until the ribs are sauced to taste.
- Rest ribs 5 minutes, then cut and serve with additional sauce.
